The only difference in a Stabilized Rammed Earth is the addition of a little cement, a small percentage that allows to have more stability and the possibility to build more than one floor in a safely. Another benefit is that a Stabilized Rammed Earth does not need painting or plastering.

  • Shapes: The versatility of rammed earth makes it possible to make curves, create voids and apply it for different purposes.

Characteristics of rammed earth

  • The use of earth as a building material, namely with the rammed earth technique, allows more freedom in construction and design at a lower cost than conventional construction, as it requires less complexity of execution. By simply adding a pigment it is possible to create a unique wall, or with the use of different frames we can achieve singular result, adding character and personality into the project.

  • The use of natural material makes the environment healthier, free of additives and humidity by naturally regulating the air inside. And also, because clay has plasticity, it can return to its original state when subject to water.
